NFL Power Rankings - Week 1

1. New England Patriots
Hard to dethrone the super bowl champs from the #1 spot to start the season. The Patriots have one of the most underrated defenses in the league along with a hall of fame coach and QB. They also have some favorable weapons in Josh Gordon, Julian Edelmen, and Sony Michel. Just a reminder that Gordon is only 28..lets hope he stays out of trouble.

2. Kansas City Chiefs

No suspension for Tyreek Hill guarantees an explosive offense for 2019. The defense lost Dee Ford and Justin Houston but added Frank Clark in a trade from Seattle

3. Los Angeles Rams
Sean Mcvay is the next bright head coach in the NFL. He will scheme the offense up to be a dominant force in the NFC. Aaron Donald is arguably the best player in the NFL but they still gave
up alot of points in 2018. Expect a big year for Cooper Kupp.

4. New Orleans Saints
The Saints will be right back where they were last year. After an off season of complaining about the missed call in the NFC Championship, they will have a chance to put that all behind him.

    5. Philadelphia Eagles
The Eagles will continue to have a dominant D-line led by Brandon Graham. Can Carson Wentz stay healthy? That’s the big question. The Eagles will compete with the Cowboys for the division again.

      6. Chicago Bears
The Bears need a kicker. The double doink still haunts Bears fans as it should. They have a championship defense and an offense that can win them games. They just need a kicker that can make a
43 yard FG in a clutch playoff game.

        7. Los Angeles Chargers
The loss of Derwin James hurts, he will be back though. The Chargers still have a very talented defense along with a Hall of fame QB that will break through the playoff barrier wall at some point? Melvin Gordon
is a replaceable back if he continues to hold out.

          8. Cleveland Browns
The Browns have a super bowl roster on paper but have done a lot of shit talking for a team that still has much
to prove. There are quite a few egos in that locker room that will keep Freddie Kitchens busy. Myles Garrett is
becoming a super star and may have a 18+ sack season.

            9. Baltimore Ravens
Can Lamar Jackson improve his passing ability? That’s the big question to the Ravens season. He is
an elite athlete that will need to make some throws when it counts.

            10. Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers are happy as hell that AB is gone considering he has been the topic of training camp for the wrong reasons. This team knows how to utilize/develop WR and have shown that with Antoinio Brown, Martavis Bryant,
JuJu Smith-Schuster, Emanual Sanders, etc. Big Ben will be fine throwing to JuJu and Donte Moncrief

            11. Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys will have one of the most talented defenses in the league and they showed last year.
The big question is Zeke’s hold out. The Cowboys need Zeke in order to succeed and they showed that in the Dak era.

              12. Atlanta Falcons

The Falcons are hit or miss in a tough NFC South division. Dirk Koetter should put Matt Ryan in a more comfortable offensive scheme that he was used to in 2012-2014. He has plenty of tools to work with in Julio Jones,
              Muhammad Sanu and Calvin Ridley.

                13. Green Bay Packers
The Packers were not shy in the offseason with their additions of Preston Smith, Za’Darius Smith, and
Rashan Gary (1st round pick), all on defense. If your team has Aaron Rodgers you have a shot.

                14. Houston Texans
I’m excited to see Desean Watson improve along with Deandre Hopkins. Bill O Brien made some questionable trades with Clowney and Lamery Tunsil, but expect the Texans to be right back in the division race, especially with the Luck retirement.

                  15. Seattle Seahawks

Russell Wilson is so dynamic and will continue to win games for the Seahawks, great decision locking him up.

                  16. Minnesota Vikings
Can Kirk Cousins beat a team with a winning record? Maybe win a game in prime time? The Vikings went 1-6
against winning teams last year, that will have to change for them to be taken seriously.

                    17. Jacksonville Jaguars

The most talented defense on paper that should pick up where it left off from 2017. Can Nick Foles continue his magic and be the QB answer for the Jags? The AFC south race should be fun. Dede Westbrook will be a sleeper.

                      18. Carolina Panthers
The obvious question the panthers season is Cam Newton’s health. The season fell apart last year due to his shoulder.
The team is highly optimistic that he is healthy and ready to go, and will return closer to 2015 MVP form.

                        19. Denver Broncos
The Broncos had a top 5 defense last year with only 6 wins. Can Joe Flacco get them over the hump? Elite Joe is
inconsistent in the regular season but if you get this guy in the playoffs, you always have a shot, and his previous seasons prove it.
I believe this is a playoff team.

                          20. Tennessee Titans
Is Marcus Mariota the answer? He has a lot to prove in what could be his final season in Tennessee. Mike Vrabel isn’t
scared to pull the plug and go to Ryan Tannehill.

                          21. San Francisco 49ers
Jimmy G needs to give Kyle Shanahan a full season to see what they invested heavily in after a small sample size. They
improved their defense with that additions of Kwon Alexander and Dee Ford.

                          22. New York Jets
I expect the Jets to be much higher later in the season. Le'veon Bell will help Sam Darnold's development tremendously.
They also have a young talented defense that will jump to the next level.

                            23. Buffalo Bills
Top 5 defense last year with a developmental QB in Josh Allen. Cole Beasley will be a short yardage security blanket with a
deep ball threat in John Brown.

                            24. Indianapolis Colts
The Andrew Luck news hurts, but this team will be able to compete in the division with Jacoby Brissett. The Colts had a
surprising defense with a well improved offensive line. Teams were interested in Brissett in the offseason, they will be in the division hunt.

                            25. Washington Redskins

This defense will surprise people led by the defensive front in Jonathan Allen, Daron Payne, and Matt Ioannidis. While I was hoping to see Haskins start the opener, Jay Gruden is in a make or break year and wants to win now with a veteran in Case Keenum.
Trent Williams isn’t coming back and will be traded this year at some point.

                            26. Detroit Lions
I still believe in Matt Stafford and hopefully the hiring of Darrell Bevell will make him more comfortable. If this year ends in disappointment,
it may be rebuild time for Detroit.

                            27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Can Bruce Arians turn Jameis Winston and the Bucs around? The Bucs hired the right guy and will know if Winston is their guy after this season.

                            28. New York Giants
The Giants were the talk of the off season for all the wrong reasons. This team has yet to decide if they are in rebuild or
contention mode with the drafting of Daniel Jones, trading away OBJ, and signing Golden Tate. Maybe Daniel Jones will be good? Only time will tell.

                            29. Oakland Raiders
The Antonio Brown dysfunction has been top notch, starting with the shit talking of his former teammates, to burning his feet in a
cryo chamber, and fighting the NFL over his helmet. We all can’t deny his talent, but we all expect locker room drama to come at some point.

                              30. Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals offensive line has taken a beating starting with their first round pick. They also won’t have AJ Green until at least Week 3. They are going to have to rely on Andy Dalton, Joe Mixon and a first year head coach. It should be a long season for the Bengals.

                                31. Miami Dolphins
The Ryan Fitzpatrick vs Josh Rosen battle has been interesting. Fitzpatrick can play, but why not go with Rosen to see what he can do?

                                32. Arizona Cardinals
I’m excited to see Kyler Murray play in the NFL. It should be interesting to see how he adapts considering his height. He has the speed and arm strength to be great.

The NFL is a young mans league, but there are some aging vets still wearing the pads on Sundays. Lets go through the list of the oldest NFL players currently playing as of September 2019. This list contains 34 players, but I will continue to add more throughout the season. 1. NFL Power Rankings - Week 2

                                1. New England Patriots The Patriots manhandled the Steelers on Sunday night 33-3. Tom Brady had 341 yards and 3 touchdown passes to Josh Gordon and Philip Dorsett. The Patriots are the clear favorites to win it all and just added AB to the mix. The defense held the Steelers to 308 total yards and only 3 points. This is the scariest Patriots team we have seen in awhile. 2. Kansas City Chiefs The Chiefs came out where they left off last year. Mahomes picked apart the Jags defense putting up 491 total yards. The Tyreek Hill injury hurts, but Sammy Watkins torched the secondary with 198 yards and 3 TDs. This is such a fun team to watch. 3. Los Angeles Rams The Rams got a nice win in Carolina while gaining 166 yards on the ground. Jared Goff looked inaccurate and only threw for 186 yards and defense forced 3 turnovers and sacked Cam 3 times. 4. New Orleans Saints Hard to top the first of the Monday night double header with Saints vs Texans. The game was spectacular, and Bree...
